Peter Wright
Executive Vice President
Director of Research

Mr. Wright joins us as the Managing Director of Research of our Emerging Technology research practice.  He joined GC Research Ltd. in April 2009. He comes to GCR with a decade of experience as a technology analyst.  Most recently Mr. Wright was one of the most senior technology analysts at Fidelity Investments.  Mr. Wright has been recognized by Institutional Investor in its ‘Best of the Buy-side’ rankings that polls over 400 research professionals across the Street, and has won the top honor across the entire technology sector over the past two years (2007 and 2008). 

Prior to joining Fidelity Investments, Mr. Wright was a semiconductor equipment analyst at CIBC World Markets. During his tenure, Mr. Wright was recognized for writing some of the most comprehensive research, specifically on the back-end of the industry.

Mr. Wright started his professional career at Prudential Volpe in San Francisco as an M&A analyst and gained transaction experience on several technology deals. Mr. Wright holds a bachelor's degree from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

David Wu
Senior Vice President
Global Equity Research

Mr. Wu joined GC Research Ltd. in January 2005 from Wedbush Morgan Securities where he was a Senior Vice President and a Senior Research Analyst covering the Semiconductor Industry. Prior to that, he was the Director of Technology Equity Research at ABN AMRO Inc., a Computer Hardware Analyst at SG Warburg & Co and Montgomery Securities, and a Semiconductor and Electronics Analyst at IDS/American Express. Mr. Wu has been ranked on Wall Street Journal ‘All Stars’ list four times. He is a CFA and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of London and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton Business School.

Andrew Huang
Senior Vice President
Global Equity Research

Mr. Huang is a Senior Vice President Global Equity Research covering the LED supply chain and advanced display technologies, with a specific emphasis on identifying emerging nano-electronic investment themes.  Prior to joining GC Research, Mr. Huang was a managing director and senior research analyst at American Technology Research, where he covered LEDs, small-cap semis, and EMS.  He has also been a director and research analyst at CIBC World Markets, an associate research analyst at Bear Stearns & Co., and database administrator at Goldman Sachs & Co.  In 2007, Mr. Huang was named the #1 Stock Picker in Electronics Equipment and Instruments by Forbes.  He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in engineering from Cornell University. 

Adam Hinckley
Senior Vice President
Global Equity Research  

Mr. Hinckley is a Senior Vice President Global Equity Research covering clean technology, including solar, wind, fuel cells and smart grid  Mr. Hinckley joins GCR from S.A.C. Capital Management, where he covered the alternative energy/clean technology sector globally, with a particular emphasis on solar photovoltaic and wind manufacturing companies.  Prior to joining S.A.C., Mr. Hinckley was the senior alternative energy analyst at CIBC World Markets and was one of the first dedicated analysts for the sector providing some of the most comprehensive coverage on the nascent group.  Mr. Hinckley also worked on many initial public offerings and secondary offerings for publicly-traded alternative energy companies.  Mr. Hinckley had previously covered various technology sectors at CIBC World Markets as an associate, including optical components, flat panel display food chain and semiconductor capital equipment.  Mr. Hinckley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from New York University.
